Knowing that COIM Group is a family business, and wanting to expand on that important value, on April 25th, COIM USA, Inc. was host to their first ever Bring Your Child to Work Day that is celebrated all across the United States at various companies. 19 children signed up to participate in a day packed full of learning, demonstrations, and fun. The day began with a safety meeting to discuss the importance of being aware of their surroundings as well as handing out the proper protective equipment to wear while out on the job. Afterwards, everyone received an ‘employee badge’, and was then given a tour of the company, which included the departments that oversee the daily operations and the LF Expansion. The remainder of the day consisted of lab demonstrations where the children were able to view the process of researching the products produced as well as getting hands on experience making their very own slime from materials used on a daily basis. To end the day, the children were treated to the science of ice cream making, and given the opportunity to spend time with those who brought them in, learning about the roles they play at COIM USA, Inc. The events, and day itself, were highly successful, and received positive feedback from everyone involved including the COIM USA, Inc. employees who volunteered their time to make it all possible.
